Earth science or geoscience includes all fields of natural science related to the planet Earth. This is a branch of science dealing with the physical, chemical, and biological complex constitutions and synergistic linkages of Earth's four spheres: the biosphere, hydrosphere/cryosphere, atmosphere, and geosphere. Earth science can be considered to be a branch of planetary science but with a much older history.

भौमिकी धरती से सम्बन्धित सभी विज्ञानों को समेटने वाला शब्द है। इसे ग्रह विज्ञान की शाखा माना जा सकता है किन्तु इसका इतिहास ग्रह विज्ञान से भी पुराना है। भौमिकी के अन्तर्गत भूविज्ञान (geology), स्थलमंडल (lithosphere), तथा पृथ्वी के अन्दर की वृहत-स्तरीय संरचना के साथ-साथ वायुमण्डल, जलमंडल (hydrosphere) तथा जैवमंडल (biosphere) आदि सब आ जाते हैं। भौमिकी के वैज्ञानिक भूगोल, भौतिकी, रसायन, जीवविज्ञान, कालानुक्रमिकी (क्रोनोलोजी) तथा गणित]] आदि के औजारों का उपयोग करते हैं।
